Greenwood Automotive now features a new state-of-the-art service center to serve the Parker community, Greenwood Automotive Repair & Tire of Parker
“The service center is female-owned and operated,” Estrey Schabacker, co-owner of Greenwood Automotive, exclaims proudly. “We know it’s intimidating sometimes for women to come in and take their vehicle in for service and it’s nice to be able to have a woman to call and to meet with in there and go over their needs so they feel comfortable.”
This family-owned business speaks to the Parker community in more ways than one. The Schabackers raised their children in Douglas County and now their son has part ownership. They have known and loved the community for years. The three owners are always on-site between their dealership and new service center.
“I think that’s made a big difference in Parker,” Estrey explains. “People really appreciate an owner coming over and thanking them for their business.”
Another reason Greenwood Automotive has thrived is its transparency in selling and servicing vehicles. They provide a thorough estimate that breaks down necessary and recommended work. Then, they explain what is recommended, giving the owner time to digest future service options, so they can plan for them.
John Schabacker, co-owner of Greenwood Automotive says, “One reason why I aggressively pursued this business [new service center] to purchase is I got very frustrated in the repair community that you take a car in and these dealerships are writing tremendously high repair estimates of work that’s needed and recommended maintenance and were taking advantage of customers.”
“What we’re trying to do,” Estrey adds, “is to have transparency with our customers on what’s actually necessary on their vehicle right now and not try to push them into buying recommended work right now.”
In addition to their business, which now features a complete 360-degree lifecycle of buying, maintaining, selling and buying again, the Schabackers support the local community by giving back in any way they can.
“We’re doing a lot of support of local charities and the church next to us with their golf tournament, the Parker Task Force,” Estrey says with pride. “We’re really trying to give back to the community as well.”
