Griffin Jewelry - A Living Legacy

Family-owned since 1985 featuring jewelry designs ranging from classic to contemporary

Today more than ever is a time to recognize and support small businesses within our community. One notable business that deserves to be recognized is Griffin Jewelry; voted McKinney Chamber of Commerce's BEST jeweler in 2021. Jack and Fran Griffin first opened Griffin Jewelry in 1985. Four generations of the Griffin family have been a part of the business journey.

It was always a dream of Jack and Fran to open a sustainable business. Griffin Jewelry was founded on family values and the belief that customer service and quality products create a solid business foundation. Jack Griffin had a background in banking and was a successful jeweler. While Fran was the buyer of the store, she made customers feel welcome each time they stepped in the door. Each of their daughters, Cherye, Angie, and Kristi were involved in helping the business grow into what it is today. Jack and Fran retired in 2007. Their daughter Cherye Walker and her husband Kurt bought the family business at that time. As the new owner, Cherye maintained the Griffin name, the family values, and the passion for running a successful small business. Cherye saw an opportunity to offer fashion jewelry, along with fine jewelry, to her customers. The store remains a success today because of the trust and loyalty that has been earned from its customers.

2019 was a proud moment for all the Griffins when the McKinney Chamber of Commerce awarded Griffin Jewelry "The Outstanding Small Business of the Year". Jack attended this event along with his family. It was a special night to honor Griffin Jewelry and his late wife Fran, who had passed away in 2017.

Griffin Jewelry has provided exceptional service for over 37 years. They work hard to establish relationships and build trust that keeps customers coming back for all their jewelry needs. The services offered are jewelry repair, watch repair and batteries, appraisals, and custom jewelry design. An on-site jeweler allows for repairs like sizing, soldering, and rhodium plating. They also offer high-tech laser welding, which allows the jeweler to work closely with precious gemstones without fear of overheating them. The custom design service is a one-of-kind experience in creating a unique piece of jewelry. Whether you are looking to redesign your current piece or create something new, Griffin's custom jeweler will listen to your needs, help create your design, and treasure your heirloom piece. A GIA certified appraiser will provide an honest and accurate jewelry appraisal for your family or estate pieces. Griffin has evolved into Collin County's leading stop for wedding jewelry, including engagement and wedding bands.

Jack Griffin passed in 2022 leaving a legacy behind. Griffin Jewelry is a tribute to his hard work. This family-owned small business is a valuable asset to McKinney and the Collin County community. Not only do they provide quality jewelry repair and products, but they also invest in the community. Griffin Jewelry is a gold-level sponsor for Smiles Charity, which builds homes for wounded veterans. Every year they also contribute to ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship.

Jack and Fran Griffin left behind a living legacy. Cherye devotes each day to fulfilling their dream of what it means to be a small business owner. Her dedicated employees will serve all your jewelry needs. The success of the store is due to the focus on customer service and quality products. Griffin Jewelry continues to be a trusted family-owned business in McKinney.
