She says Griffin Jewelry has become Collin County’s location for wedding jewelry, including engagement and wedding bands. During Christmas, she adds that Griffin Jewelry sees a significant demand for engagement rings as gifts. Many people choose this time to propose because they are surrounded by their families. “We take great pleasure in assisting our customers in making this special purchase, as engagement rings are among the most significant pieces one will ever buy,” says Cherye. “Even during the busy holiday season, we ensure to allocate time for this important process."
Customers come to Griffin Jewelry from throughout the North Texas area. Some of the store's longtime customers, who have moved away, even call to have gifts shipped. Cherye rejects the idea of online shopping for jewelry, focusing instead on making a personal connection with customers.

It was 1985 when Jack and Fran Griffin opened their jewelry store. In 2007, the reins of the family business were turned over to their daughter, Cherye Walker. This year is the 39th holiday season for Griffin Jewelry. "We're fortunate to have the best customers, both old and new. McKinney's rapid growth brings us new customers every day,” states Cherye. “We feel blessed by this. Our priority is to ensure that every person who walks through our door becomes a repeat customer."
