In June 2021 Fergus Whitney founded SAOL Agriculture Solutions. Prior to setting up the business Fergus the owner worked for the Village of Los Ranchos as Agriculture Program Manager, ARCA in Corrales as a Farm Manager and at Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm.
Fergus saw a niche in the market which helps support new growers, landowners, farmers, gardeners, and community gardens with starting or enhancing their operations with assistance starting with a paid consultation in areas such as Soil Management, Irrigation, Farm and Garden Planning and Design, and Farm Contract Services, Community Harvesting needs.
SAOL also has two farms in Los Ranchos which grows produce including Sunflowers, Tomatoes, Melons, Cantaloupe, and others. We attend Farmers Markets at Los Ranchos, Mile Hi in Alvarado Park and Cedar Crest on Wednesdays from May to October.
