Tad grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and started his restaurant career in the 1970s at Dale Anderson’s Other Place restaurant. After a few years at the University of Arizona, Tad moved to Dallas, Texas and enjoyed a rewarding career with American Airlines while he worked on his B.A. and M.S. in Communication. After moving back to Arizona to partner in Joe’s Real BBQ, he teamed up with his partners to open Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert in 2006, and Topo Arizona in 2019. He is a graduate of the Gilbert Leadership Program (Class 8).
Andrew John, CEO of John's Refrigeration, grew up on rooftops and in attics fixing air conditioners with his dad. He was born and raised in Mesa after his parents had already started the family business: John's Refrigeration. After graduating from Mountain View High school and the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT, formerly known as Mesa Vo-Tech), he won two scholarships to attend Universal Technical Institute where he completed his HVAC schooling. He officially started working for John's Refrigeration when he got his driver's license at the age of 16 and hasn't looked back.
Ben is the founder of several businesses including Rocket Media, a marketing agency, and Rocket SPACE, an event venue, and meeting space. Creating solutions to solve problems is a key ingredient in what drives Ben’s professional inspirations. Ben lives by a simple purpose, to lead, by living a balanced and focused life, and caring enough to make a significant difference in all that he does. Ben is a graduate of Kansas State University with a BFA degree in graphic design and communication arts. He is a graduate of the Gilbert Leadership program (Class 25), currently serves on the board for Gilbert Parks & Recreation, and is part of several podcast shows.
