Gulf Coast Custom Designs creates custom furniture, home décor, and art pieces that range from cutting boards to wall décor to large tables made from wood and epoxy resin. Each item that owner and artist, Tricia Bolds, designs is truly one-of-a-kind. “No two items will ever be the same because that’s how the process works,” Tricia explains. “With each item, the wood is unique, the engraving is personal, and the resin is different. Whatever the item, it's very custom.”
In addition to ocean resin designs, Tricia enjoys taking things to the next level and sinking items into resin, creating a complex and layered look. “I’ve put pressed sunflowers and wine corks into items, a board with pinecones in it, and even one that has a miniature fireball bottle sunk in there and the liquid moves because the fireball is still in the bottle,” she says. “I'm also working on a big console table with river pebbles in it. My goal when I create things is for people to stop and say, ‘I've never seen anything like this.”
For customers who want to have an active part in creating items, Tricia offers group and private classes. Classes are small and intimate, ensuring each participant has the guidance needed to make their vision come to life.
The online shop has something for everyone. Items usually sell quickly since they are all one-of-a-kind. If a customer cannot find what they are looking for, Tricia is happy to create a custom item. Custom projects can take anywhere from two to eight weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
