Just a few miles away in Hamilton is a driveable, outdoor art museum. Local designers and painters come together to create vibrant works of art that take up entire walls: murals! The organization Streetspark organizes a call for proposals, finds great locations and coordinates summertime painting of new murals in Hamilton.
Murals like Alexander by Nicole Trimble bring a fun new feel to the historic figure that gave Hamilton its name, and Make Way for McCloskey celebrates the beloved children’s books created by Hamilton native Robert McCloskey. Prefer a little wilder fare? Check out the music-inspired Golden Ethos by Christian Dallas, on the side of popular live-music pub N2.
Ro-Bros by Logan Walden combines the fun of robots with a twilight secret: the windows are the eyes of the robots, and they light up when you view the mural in the evening!
Classic and inspiring, Taking Flight by Taylor Welch overlooks beautiful Rotary Park, while Inspiring the Future by Jamie Schorsch shows what is possible for children who attend the community center where the mural is located.
