A DIY shop located right in the heart of Mount Juliet; Hammer & Stain was opened in 2020 by Kathy Stover who moved here in 2016. Along with her husband and two grown children, Kathy can often be found on their boat enjoying the sunshine with a good book.

Hammer & Stain provides a unique craft experience to engage the entire family. From 18 months to 99 years, come paint and fire your own unique art project! Around her 50th birthday, Kathy, seeing a need for family-friendly activity in town, brought the brand to life in our Middle TN town.

Between a full calendar of summer workshops, a dedicated homeschool following, and walk-ins, Hammer & Stain teaches their audiences how to crochet, draw, pour resin, and paint pottery. From family-friendly events and adult-only BYOB art classes, Hammer & Stain is in a unique position to cater to everyone in Mount Juliet.

One of the most heard requests in the city of Mount Juliet is a need for child-friendly activities. Some of the most popular activities that they see are customized birthday plates, gifts for Father’s / Mother’s Day, and Christmas gifts. And Hammer & Stain is glad to fill that need all year long!
