October is one of the most beautiful months of the year here in Potomac. The air is cool, the trees are full of golden, bronze and flame-colored leaves and there is an aura of new possibility. We reached out to Harvest Catering + Food Design with a delicious request: a meal that will wow the guests at your next dinner party or big family feast. Using seasonal ingredients, executive sous chef Shalia Coburn accepted the challenge. Her impressive background includes work as an apprentice at Blue Duck Tavern, banquet cook at The W Hotel in Washington, D.C. plus spots at Gallery Foods and Firefly. Shalia has created a cozy, fun and unforgettable supper. The presentation of each dish is as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the taste buds.
