Reconnect by Disconnecting
Every fall, families return to Fritzler Farm Park to continue traditions years in the making. Parents who once explored the corn maze as children now bring their own kids. Friends gather to laugh, play, and reconnect. For a few hours, visitors trade busy schedules and screens for fresh air, adventure, and time together.
That sense of connection is exactly what Owner Trevor Fritzler hopes guests experience.
“Our mission is to immerse yourself in our world to escape yours, and reconnect with each other and the land by disconnecting,” Trevor says.
While Fritzler Farm Park has become one of Colorado’s favorite fall destinations, its roots began with something much simpler: survival.
Trevor grew up farming alongside his father, Glen Fritzler. As fourth-generation farmers, the Fritzler family understood the uncertainty of depending on the land. Devastating hailstorms could wipe out crops and threaten the family’s livelihood.
“When weather is your biggest enemy and the bank won’t pull through, you learn how to endure adversity,” Trevor says.
Everything changed in 2000 when Glen agreed to try something new: a corn maze. The idea, suggested by a cousin, seemed unlikely at first but quickly became a hit. A haunted attraction soon followed, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become Fritzler Farm Park.
What started as a creative solution has grown into a place where families connect and create memories that last long after the season ends.
Rooted in Gratitude
Agriculture remains at the heart of the park, but Trevor believes its greatest impact lies in agritourism experiences. In his book, Gratitude Equals Power, he shares the belief that gratitude—not entitlement—creates lasting success.
“Teach gratitude. Show gratitude,” Trevor says.
That philosophy extends beyond relatives. Trevor often says, “Family is the people you choose,” a belief reflected in both the park’s culture and the way guests are welcomed.
As Fritzler's continues to grow, Trevor remains focused on creating experiences that bring people together. He often reflects on the resilience of previous generations who endured the Dust Bowl, Great Depression, world wars, and unpredictable weather.
“Our toughest day on the farm was probably my grandfather’s easiest day,” he says.
The Greatest Harvest
That perspective continues to inspire new attractions and experiences. Guests can look forward to Foodertainment, featuring themed food trucks and whimsical characters, along with a 5-D roller coaster, carnival-style performances, a general store filled with local treasures, and the terrifying expansion of Scream Acres.
Yet for Trevor, the attractions are only part of the story.
Visitors may arrive for the thrills and entertainment, but he hopes they leave with something deeper: stronger connections, cherished memories, and a renewed appreciation for time spent together. After all, the greatest harvest at Fritzler Farm Park isn’t grown in the fields; it’s found in the moments families share.
