Closing the Healthcare Gap for Children Who Need It the Most

For 30 years, PediPlace has been a local solution to a national concern. Recognizing that accessing quality, affordable, primary care pediatric healthcare services challenges thousands of families in North Texas, PediPlace, a local nonprofit pediatric practice, provides a medical home to uninsured children and those who receive Medicaid or the CHIP benefits ages birth to 18. Nationally certified as a patient-centered medical home, PediPlace provides annual well-child checkups, same-day sick-visits, management of chronic care, and mental health services. PediPlace is there for underserved children and their families and meets the uniqueness of each patient and when needed, coordinates care between multiple specialties.

PediPlace operates from three locations throughout N. Texas; a primary clinic centrally located in Lewisville and two satellite facilities at area schools in partnership with the Lewisville and Denton Independent School Districts. Larry Robins, PediPlace CEO states: “These additional facilities expand healthcare access for our patients and enhance the educational environment by helping to keep kids healthy.”  In fact, Robins says, “PediPlace’s use of age-appropriate books for its youngest patients are a diagnostic tool in the clinic, and a learning enhancement as well. What PediPlace does in the exam room influences what happens in the classroom.”

PediPlace families describe PediPlace best: “PediPlace is more than just a doctor’s office. Their generosity goes far beyond pediatric health, and the care and support they provide families is unmatched.” Another adds, “I was very emotional during our visit, but the provider made me feel safe, heard, and calm. She took her time, treated us with genuine respect, and truly saw us as people.”

Larry concludes, “When children are healthy, families are more productive at school, at work, and within their community. We welcome you to join us to advance our mission of Making Healthcare a Reality for Every Kid!”
