Jonathan M. Frantz, MD, FACS, medical director and chief surgeon of Frantz EyeCare, is pleased to announce their sixth year of partnership with Mission Cataract USA. Dr. Frantz along with Dr. Maxwell A. Burch and Dr. Christine L. Bokman provided free cataract surgeries to patients in need in the Southwest Florida community in October.
Cataracts are the clouding of the eye’s natural lens due to changes in the eye tissue, and is the most common cause of vision loss in individuals over the age of 40. Frantz EyeCare is honored to have been able to restore the sight of thousands of cataract patients over the years, and most importantly, a culture of giving and serving has been foundational for the company since the practice began in 1994. Every patient has a unique story to tell and a profound need to be met. For each surgery, there is a life that will be changed for the better. This is why Frantz EyeCare is motivated to partner each year with Mission Cataract USA to make dreams of better vision – a reality for individuals who have been met with hardships.
The program provided vision-saving, cataract surgery to individuals of all ages who meet federal financial guidelines and have no private medical insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.
Frantz EyeCare believes in faith, hope, and healing. "It is our privilege to serve the Southwest Florida community with better vision and a better quality of life," says Dr Frantz, medical director and chief surgeon of Frantz EyeCare.
