It's already time to think about how to freshen rooms with seasonal accessories for this upcoming spring, reminds Anita Yoder, owner of Heritage Design Interiors.
"Clients are securing spring florals and wreaths, and our team of professionals is assisting with selections of new pottery, window treatments, pillows, throws and other décor ideas. Because it can now take eight to nine months after ordering new furniture, it helps to stay ahead of changing seasons," Anita says, who started her interior design company in 1990.
Starting with updates to interior design basics is like having that great, little black dress, she says. "The dress is fabulous, but becomes so much better with the right shoes, jewelry and purse."
While new "colors of the year" may be trending, such as Pantone's 'Very Peri,' Anita encourages everyone to first consider their personal preferences. "Your own tastes and individual lifestyle is the current trend to truly follow."
She says black, polished brass and gold are still making a comeback.
Large or small projects, no matter the style desired, Anita says the mission is to leave clients with customized spaces that are "comfortable, coordinated and functional."
She says for those who enjoy routinely changing up their ambiance, huge differences can be made by switching out artwork or simply painting a wall a different color. To that end, the Heritage team provides at-home color consultations.
Looking for fabulous home décor?
The Heritage Home retail store offers accent furniture and creative accessories, including pottery, mirrors, lamps, artwork, candle holders, decorative plates and vases. Located in an historic 1800s inn, Anita says the store is also the perfect setting to shop for window treatments, with more than 1,000 fabrics and many styles. "You'll also find coordinating fabrics for upholstery, bedding and more. From selecting and measuring to ordering and installation, we take care of all of the details," promises Anita.
This award-winning interior designer team, based from New Holland, serves clients in Chester, Lancaster and Berks counties, including new construction, office designs, lobbies or remodeling projects.
"When decorating your home or office, little things make a big difference. An elegant rug, a well-placed mirror, the perfect flower arrangement or a few accent pillows can turn an ordinary room into one that pops with personality," assures Anita.
