Maker’s Mark® Private Selections: “Undaunted 1881” and “1867 The House Standard”

Maker's Mark is proud to announce two new Private Selection bottlings created by influential figures from the Morehouse and Spelman College alumni communities in celebration of historically black colleges and universities (HBCU). As a brand founded on the spirit of challenging convention to make your mark in the world, Maker’s Mark respects the heritage, values and deep sense of community that HBCUs represent and is proud to celebrate HBCU alumni making their mark in their communities, industries and society through these special releases.

Maker’s Mark® Private Selection is a bespoke barrel program that allows the bourbon brand’s customers and fans to create their own version of Maker’s Mark, customized according to their personal taste visions. These two limited-release expressions were customized as follows:

Developed by D'Angela Proctor, Spelman College alumna and veteran Hollywood producer, “Undaunted 1881” was created to pay homage to HBCUs and their place in history as the epicenters of Black culture, art, and more. "Undaunted 1881" weaves the legacy of HBCUs and the elegance and resilience of her Spelman sisters.

Maker’s Mark Private Selections ‘Undaunted 1881’ and ‘1867 The House Standard’ were available in very limited quantities at My Friends Bottle Shop in Atlanta, Georgia for a suggested retail price of $74.99 around SpelHouse Homecoming season. If someone really loves you, maybe they will share their signed bottle!
