Holiday Party Tips from The Cuterie

Local Restauranteur Offers ways to keep the Holiday Event Memorable

Amanda Starley of The Cuterie, a new restaurant in Conroe, wants everyone to have a successful holiday party by creating a memorable atmosphere for your guests.

To ensure your event is a hit this season, Starley gave us her top five tips to consider before sending out your invitations.

According to Starley, when serving a large group, it is important to take different dietary needs into consideration. Not only are charcuterie boards, beautiful and delicious, but they are also the best option for parties because there is something for everyone; keto, vegan, gluten-free, and other needs can all be accommodated with cured meat and cheeses, pickles, and olives.

Make a festive holiday cocktail in a large batch before the event starts to make serving simple. Local favorites include Gluhwein (warm, mulled wine) and Paula Deen’s “Mama’s Eggnog" with a half pint of Bourbon and a pint of heavy cream.

Have a little fun and create a playlist that represents the vibe you want at your party. If planning a gift exchange or speeches, we recommend making a second instrumental playlist so that the words of the song are not competing with the one speaking. “If you’re not sure what you want, use the Shazam app to collect songs that you enjoy throughout the holiday season,” Starley said.

When the weather drops, everyone layers up. Have a designated place for your guests to leave their coats and purses. Not only will this help you avoid clutter during the party, but will also cut down on items left behind.

Just relax, mix, mingle, and have fun, which is what parties are for! Check out thecuterie.com for more party inspiration this Christmas season.
