Homes Built for Wellness

Corey Amira Custom Homes builds wellness-focused spaces using healthy materials, natural light, and thoughtful design.

As the owner of Corey Amira Custom Homes here in Gainesville, I’ve always believed a house should do more than look beautiful—it should actively support the health and well-being of the families who live in it. That belief drives every decision we make, from the materials we select to the way we design each space.

One of the first things I focus on is natural light. In nearly all of our homes, we incorporate abundant windows and strategically placed exterior doors to let sunlight pour in. Not only does this create an uplifting environment, but it also supports healthier sleep cycles and overall mood. For evenings, we install dimmer switches in many areas so homeowners can soften the lighting at night and ease into a restful pace.

Indoor air quality is equally important to me. That’s why we use Sherwin-Williams Emerald paint throughout our builds. It’s a low-VOC product that helps minimize chemical exposure and keeps the indoor environment fresh from day one. Paired with upgraded insulation in every home, we’re able to deliver energy-efficient, comfortable living spaces that promote long-term wellness.

I also believe wellness should extend beyond the indoors. Many of our designs feature large porches—welcoming outdoor spaces that encourage families to step outside, relax, and breathe in the fresh Florida air. And because movement is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, we often build dedicated home gyms or workout rooms so staying active is both convenient and enjoyable.

To me, a truly custom home is one that nurtures the people inside it. By blending thoughtful design with healthy materials and lifestyle-focused features, we create homes that support better living from the ground up. It’s a commitment I’m proud to bring to every project.
