Caring for a Community

Hometown Family Medicine has grown leaps and bounds, providing their patients with full service care

Scott and Janna Wyman are grateful to be home again. After medical school and a stint in New York, Dr. Scott Wyman and his wife returned to Missoula to serve the people of their hometown. “We were both born at Community Medical Center, so we’re grateful to be able to give back by helping Missoula families welcome their newborns into the world,” said Janna.

In 2015, they opened their private practice. An expansion in 2022 brought additional providers and the creation of Hometown Family Medicine & Women’s Health.

With a full crew of providers in one location, patients can work with physicians all the way from pediatrics to geriatrics. In addition to obstetrics and gynecology, the clinic offers family medicine, primary care, sports physicals, and more. Dr. Wyman appreciates the wide variety of services that these additional providers have brought to the practice. “The expansion of our office over the last few years has been nothing short of an adventure,” he said. “None of it would have been possible without our tremendous team of office staff, nurses, and providers. My wife and I are grateful that our new providers took a leap of faith and joined us on this journey. We are honored and privileged to come to the clinic each day and work alongside this outstanding group.”

In a time when fewer and fewer doctors are accepting new patients, Janna sees how the synergy among their physicians and staff forms a complete network of professional care within one clinic. Plus, when families return for ongoing care, they can take comfort in knowing that the doctor who delivered their child is right next door. Clinicians feel that strong sense of community, as well, with almost all of the providers having deep roots in the area. “We have strong connections to Montana and most of us grew up near Missoula. It’s our hometown.” Janna said.

Dr. Scott Wyman, OB/GYN

Born in Missoula, Dr. Wyman is one of the busiest obstetricians in our area. His patients often say that he’s a great listener. After graduating from medical school in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Wyman spent his residency in New York. Grateful to return to his Montana roots, moving back was a dream come true and he’s since started his own family with Janna. When he’s not busy delivering the newest members of our community, Dr. Wyman enjoys fishing, hiking, exploring, and everything the outdoors that Montana has to offer.

Diana M. Podlecki, PA-C

Although Diana’s schooling started in Colorado, and then took her to Nebraska, this energetic woman has adopted Montana as her calling and Missoula as her hometown. As a Physician’s Assistant in the OB/GYN field, Diana considers it a privilege to guide parents through the journey of pregnancy and childbirth, right up to the moment when Dr. Wyman is called to the delivery. In her free time, you might spot Diana enjoying a run with her dog, Jack.

Courtney I. Hathaway, MD

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Hathaway is managing her family’s cattle ranch alongside her husband Jeff in the Potomac Valley east of Missoula. She grew up on the ranch and was determined to become a doctor after dissecting a cow heart in grade school. Dr. Hathaway studied at Montana State University, then continued her professional education to eventually practice her passion: family medicine. Caring for her patients from birth through adulthood keeps Dr. Hathaway energized and engaged in her community.

Jeanne K. Bloom, FNP-BC

Patients appreciate how Jeanne Bloom takes time to listen and answer any questions with her thoughtful expertise. Most are not surprised to learn that her Missoula Sentinel High School Class of 1997 voted her “Most Likely to Brighten Your Day.” As a graduate from Montana State University and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Jeanne provides a wide range of services, including annual exams, sports physicals, diabetic and weight loss treatment, and more. In her free time, Jeanne enjoys playing in her garden and spending time with family outdoors.

Brandi Glibbery, FNP

Brandi Glibbery is a career nurse with decades of experience in multiple fields, including orthopedics, cardiac, neurology, oncology, and more. She began as a nurse in Great Falls and continues to serve as an instructor on the Missoula campus of Montana State University’s nursing program. When she’s not treating or teaching, Brandi enjoys skiing, fishing, and camping with her family.
