Honoring the Elderly

"Cherish the moments with mom and dad and let our professional caregivers do the tough stuff.”

Kevin and Kelly Fehr have been married for the past 15 years, and in 2014, Kevin chatted with God, which led him to leave his corporate job at Merck & Co., Inc. and start Amada Senior Care in Middle Tennessee.  “Being a young leader in a large corporation was very stressful and, quite frankly, unfulfilling.  I wanted a sense of purpose in my career by truly helping others, and I wasn’t experiencing that in the pharmaceutical industry.”  Their faith led Kevin & Kelly to Christ, and when the calling came, they invested everything in following their dream to help others.  Amada Senior Care was born in Middle TN late in 2014.  Eight years later, they felt it was the best faith-based decision the couple had ever made.  Amada Senior Care has been rated the #1 non-medical in-home care agency in 7 counties throughout Middle TN (familyassets.com) and has earned an A+ rating by the BBB for the past six years.  They are also the second company in Tennessee to earn an A+ rating from the Home Care Standards Bureau, based in Colorado.  “Our company was built on Core Values,” the President & CEO Kevin Fehr explains. “We knew one thing in business: Culture eats strategy for lunch.”  “Even though my role in the company is to head up Business Development, I knew we had to get the culture right for our agency to prosper.”  While Kevin takes the lead on Business Development/Sales/Marketing, Kelly serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.  “The oversight of everything from an operational standpoint in a company that serves over 100 seniors can be a daunting task, but I welcome the challenge,” stated Kelly.

The key to running a successful business with your spouse as a married couple is “know your lane and stay in it.”  This philosophy helped Kevin and Kelly flourish in the senior care industry.  Helping families during difficult times is what drives these business owners daily.  Kelly explained, “We want sons and daughters to be sons and daughters of their parents in that final chapter of their life, and not a caregiver. Cherish the moments with mom and dad and let our professional caregivers do the tough stuff.” This speaks to Kelly’s character as a leader in the company.  Based in Murfreesboro, Amada Senior Care offers non-medical in-home care services for seniors or adults with disabilities.  They offer complimentary consultations with a Certified Senior Advisor to help families carve out a path forward for a loved one’s care needs.  To learn more about Amada Senior Care, contact them at 615-933-7494.
