Nestled on the corner of High and East Miner Streets in West Chester sits a quaint cupcake and coffee shop. One might suspect a small operation inside, but that couldn’t be further from the truth, for Dia Doce Cupcakes is known as THE cupcake powerhouse in the area.

Started by Thais da Silva Viggue in 2011 as a food truck, Dia Doce has exploded with success since its inception. Winner of Food Network’s 2012 Cupcake Wars and voted #1 on the Philly HotList, Dia Doce’s cupcakes are anything but ordinary. Crafted from the best ingredients and baked fresh daily, customers can expect to try popular flavors such as Peanut Butter Blackout, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Blueberry Buttermilk Pancake, and Lemon Basil. Dia Doce also offers amazing gluten-free cupcake options that taste as if they are regular cupcakes. Cupcake flavors change weekly, so customers can try something new each time they come in to the store.

Sharing the space with Dia Doce is Cathey’s Coffee, which is owned by Thais’s mother-in-law. They have crafted an amazing business together where customers can come in to grab speciality coffees that change with the season. You can bet that the coffee selection pairs exceptionally well with a cupcake. It’s the perfect duo!

Dia Doce offers pre-orders for the holiday season including pie-themed cupcakes and holiday favorites such as Yule log, gingerbread, and hot cocoa. With the busy holiday season, customers are urged to place their order ahead. Orders must be placed over the phone, as they unfortunately do not accept email orders.

Next time you’re near Dia Doce, stop in for a treat and tell them that WC Lifestyle sent you. Follow Dia Doce on Instagram @diadocewc to stay up-to-date on all the new flavors!
