Working with City Lifestyle magazines has always been a joy for me. Detailed enough to me to keep engaged and certainly never too long that I would become uninterested. Always incredible photos, always.
Just like Instagram, magazine photos are highly stylized, and never what they appear to be. You may think it fabulous and easy but, more often than not, that is never the case. Take for example the cover of this month's issue of East Cobb City Lifestyle. Simple, right? Stack a few plates, light a candle or two, cut a few fresh flowers from the garden, and voila a perfect picture.
What you don’t realize is that this one cover photo took two-plus days.
Shopping for featured items, sourcing chairs and a great backyard from our realtor partner, picking up tabletop décor, calling a fantastic photographer was pretty routine and only took half a day to accomplish.
Having an incredible photographer is a must. My dear friend Jolie Loren has been my photographer for over two years now and I simply don’t do anything without her. Her patience and attention to deal make her a perfect partner for any photo that is needed.
Carithers Flowers on Powers Ferry Road is one of the best florists in Atlanta. The dedicated team was attentive, made great suggestions on flower choice, and the arrangements were beautiful.
Thank you to David Sirzyk Listing Realtor and Managing Partner of SET Real Estate Group COMPASS and East Cobb City Lifestyle Partner Amy Jones Realtor and Team Principal of Atlanta Legacy Team COMPASS for providing the beautiful East Cobb home backdrop.

Off I went to stage and stylize the cover shot; little did I know that mother nature had other plans for me. In total, the cover shot evolved over the two days of rain, clouds and challenges. We love the result and hope you do too!
