Award Winning Designer, Laurent Bernard and the Interior Essentials team were invited to join the ‘Your Iconic Life’ 2020 Winter Showhaus. The design team on the project included Laurent Bernard, Johnna Kamenchuk. Victoria Larsen, and Kaley Condon
As ASID award-winning experts that have been dressing Valley windows in custom draperies and window treatments for over 10 years. Interior Essentials came into the interior design trade by way of window coverings. Over the years, they have gathered talented lines that they believe in. With them, the company grew into the values for craftsmanship, customer service, transparency and engagement. Each of their designers bring a specific strength to the team: excellence in design, experience in the workroom, attention to details and project management, all with a passion for design, fabrics, textures, patterns and colors. Interior Essentials worked with each design team in their complimenting rooms on window treatment selection and installed all the Hunter Douglas products throughout the home.
Behind the scenes- The design team had 6 weeks to bring the room to life, the pandemic created some lead-time issues with our products. They found out 3 days before installation, as they were in a box truck driving to LA to pick up the Cisco Home Bed and custom pieces from Victor Wilde, the artwork being created for the feature wall behind the bed was not going to arrive in time.
Last Minute, Victoria Larsen stayed up for 2 days straight sculpting the pottery inspired wall tiles from clay in Victor’s studio. They painted the same color as the wall and made them into hangings.
The Showhaus benefited Phoenix Childrens Hospital, so they wanted to be involved in the fundraising for the cause though their room. Victor Wildes exhibit Mama Bears inspired the creation of the blue bear on the bed. The teddy bear was sold benefiting PCH.
Local Entrepreneur Kelly Saindon, Bishology Co, also had a bear made for her benefiting PCH in her company’s pink color.
All the furniture showcased in bedroom #4 of the Show Haus is from manufactures that is sold locally at the Interior Essentials locations in Gilbert and Scottsdale. These furnishings were selected for their dedication to the health of your home and the environment. The design team works together to bring artistic ideas to life in your home.
The theme of the Winter Showhaus was Mediterranean. “Our view of the Mediterranean is a place where the past is very present, fusing ancient and our currently electric culture. As a celebration of art, our modern room is a collaboration featuring what our favorite artists are currently creating”, shared Victoria Larsen
Wall Art
We are very excited to be the first United States showroom to represent custom wallpaper by French artist MARTIN BERGER. His work is seen on the most high-end walls in the world; found in couture flagship stores like Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and installed in luxury hotels including the Ritz Carlton, Metropole Monaco, and Mandarin Oriental.
Artist Collaboration
Our collaboration with LA artist Victor Wilde is the first home-goods product under his art fashion brand BOHEMIAN SOCIETY. His bed bolster was inspired by the Mediterranean artist and originator of Op Art, Victor Vasarely.
He also created the teddy bear that was sold benefiting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. His 50-ft. tall “Mama Bears” exhibit featuring 100 different bears, was in the Lancaster Museum of Art and History “Woven Stories” in Los Angeles. Teddy reminds us that along with the uniqueness of every childhood experience comes the need for an individual form of comfort. We are proud to help support our Valley Heroes, the patients, and the hospital staff of PCH.
