A Classic Fall Dessert For Any Occassion

This timeless dessert is perfect for any holiday party or celebration, and they're really easy to make. With just a few ingredients and a little bit of time, you can have these delicious treats ready to enjoy. We are confident that this classic fall dessert will quickly become one of your family's favorite recipes.

Granny Smith Caramel Apples

Makes:
7 Granny Smith Apples

Prep Time:
20 Minutes

Cook Time:
3 Minutes

Ingredients:
7 small Granny Smith apples 
15 oz. caramels
3 Tbsp heavy cream
*Various toppings, such as chopped pecans or peanuts

Directions:

  • Rinse and thoroughly dry apples and insert a caramel apple stick.
  • Line a 13 x 9-inch baking sheet with non-stick parchment paper, set in fridge.
  • Place caramels and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Heat in microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Dip and rotate apples one at a time and let excess run off, then run bottom of apple along inside edge of the bowl to remove excess caramel.
  • To get the caramel to run up the apple, lift it and turn it upside down and then immediately roll the apple in toppings.
  • Turn the apples upright and place them on a baking sheet in the fridge, repeat the process with the remaining apples.
  • Let the caramel set for about 30 minutes in the fridge before serving.
