15 oz. caramels
3 Tbsp heavy cream

  • Rinse and thoroughly dry apples and insert a caramel apple stick.
  • Line a 13 x 9-inch baking sheet with non-stick parchment paper, set in fridge.
  • Place caramels and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Heat in microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Dip and rotate apples one at a time and let excess run off, then run bottom of apple along inside edge of the bowl to remove excess caramel.
  • To get the caramel to run up the apple, lift it and turn it upside down and then immediately roll the apple in toppings.
  • Turn the apples upright and place them on a baking sheet in the fridge, repeat the process with the remaining apples.
  • Let the caramel set for about 30 minutes in the fridge before serving.
