Infusing Gratitude into Your Thanksgiving Aesthetic

Jeffrey Bannon Celebrates 15 Years in Business and Shares His Favorite Thanksgiving Day Traditions

Design has always captivated Jeffrey Bannon.

I”'ve always loved the world of design. As a child, I would set the table for family events and holidays, and I took pride in my creativity. At 13, I started my first business: decorating neighbors’ homes  and small businesses for the holidays.”

Jeffrey’s Holiday Entertaining Tips:

-When entertaining, I create an environment for each of our senses: a scented candle, chic music playlist, and, of course, a welcoming and humble attitude.

-Put an "I'm Thankful for" Designer place card at every setting so each guest can customize and share.

-Here in the South we have the luxury of hosting Thanksgiving celebrations outdoors. One of my fondest memories is assisting a friend with a Thanksgiving Dinner at her historic home. Imagine a long farmhouse table with fresh gourds, pumpkins, and foliage spilling out across the table, with a million votive candles and a taxidermy peacock!

-One of my favorite Southern traditions is to give each guest a "surcee" (an unexpected gift): perhaps a Charleston rice spoon or Woodford Reserve bourbon chocolates.

The Fall Tabletop Trends Jeffrey Loves:

-Colored glassware

-Mixed textures: think colorful velvet or woven rattan pumpkins

-Decorative pheasant feather placemats and napkin rings

-Gold or brass anything!

Even though Jeffrey is all things chic, he never forgets what his business is really about. “The best advice that I was told many years ago from a mentor was that people will not remember what they bought in your store, but they will remember how you made them feel.”
