What makes us beautiful? The individuality that each of us possesses and inner spirit shining through is what makes us truly beautiful to those around us. Fashion trends come and go, and while some looks are timeless, inner beauty never goes out of style. We are taking a look at some of this year's fashion finds, while also learning about some of the inner qualities that two of our favorite local models possess.
Taylor Good
KC-based model, Taylor Good, spends her days as a labor and delivery nurse helping to bring new life into the world. Inspired by her grandmother, Taylor always knew she wanted to be a nurse because of her passion for caring for others and her interest in the health and medical field.
“I feel so blessed that I can be a part of one of the most important moments in a new mother’s life, and it’s such an honor to educate and provide support during that experience,” explains Good. “Getting to see cute babies every day is also a bonus.”
Taylor’s ambitious nature, caring disposition, compassion for others and strong work ethic shines through in everything she does.
Dieynaba Diop
Dieynaba Diop’s family came to Kansas City as refugees from Mauritania in North Africa. She grew up in Kansas City and went on to become an oncology nurse in the area. “I am very passionate about caring for patients,” Diop says. “It’s very rewarding to be part of a patient care team to a road of recovery and to be there for my ill patients.”
Being a model has given Diop a creative outlet and way to express herself in a different way. “I love being in front of a camera and showing my creativity to bring fashion and beauty to life,” explains Diop.
Diop is passionate about everything she does, and it shows in her work as both a nurse and a model. Her honesty, compassionate kindness, and dedication to being a good listener is what makes her shine.
“I enjoy being part of the Kansas City community. I love the diversity here, and people are so nice. It is a great city to raise a family and isn’t too crowded,” she says. “It doesn’t hurt that the food is great here, too.”
