Insider Guide to Hotel ZaZa Austin

Hotel ZaZa's newest outpost in Austin delights guests with eclectic art, delicious flavors, and luxury service the brand is known for.

If you are an avid traveler, you know that one of the best parts about visiting a place is discovering new destinations locals love. Luckily, you don’t have to travel far to find Austin’s latest hot spot – Hotel ZaZa. The luxury boutique hotel with outposts in Dallas and Houston opened its newest location in the state’s capital city just six months before COVID-19 struck. “We had a good solid six months before everything shut down, but we are excited to see the hotel full again and guests getting back to normal,” said General Manager Jacob Weaver.

Located in Austin’s Warehouse District, ZaZa is minutes away from dining, bars, live music, and impressive tourist destinations such as the Texas Capitol Building or Blanton Museum of Art.  Once you check in, you can leave your keys with the valet and either walk to your destination or take the hotel’s driving service anywhere within a five-mile radius of the hotel.

Like all ZaZa properties, the Austin location is art-driven. Guests will delight in the celebrity photos found throughout the hotel, as well as their collection of eclectic art. The combination of Texas charm and Hollywood style marries perfectly with the rich textures and colors found across the property. The hotel sourced iconic pieces of decor from all over the country. You may recognize the crystal chandelier from Versace in Beverly Hills, which was in the movie Pretty Woman, and now holds a place of honor at the hotel.

Hotel ZaZa Austin also caters to those looking for a unique VIP experience. Boasting their Magnificent Seven Suites, guests can enjoy suites between 800 – 1,300 square feet in size. Each one has a specific theme to make the stay distinctive. Themes range from The Orient Express, which evokes a European train car, to Bungalow 6, which features a groovy, retro-modern suite reminiscent of Palm Springs. “We have a lot of brand loyalty in Texas, and we offer a more personalized experience for guests because we are a luxury boutique property,” says Weaver. “Hotel ZaZa Austin goes above and beyond in customer service, especially for our VIP guests.”

Although great Austin restaurants surround the hotel, Group Therapy, the hotel’s full-service restaurant, makes it easy and delicious to dine in. Overlooking the pool and Austin skyline, the restaurant has an expansive menu of locally sourced cuisine and a robust cocktail menu. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and live music on weekends.

Guests’ wellness and relaxation are also a top priority at Hotel ZaZa. Guests can relax poolside in a peaceful cabana or work up a sweat at the hotel’s large fitness center. The hotel also offers signature treatments at ZaSpa. The full-service spa, lauded by both locals and travelers, features signature spa treatments, facial, body, and hand & foot therapies, in addition to Naturopathica skincare/herbal remedies and BABOR skin care products. For guests looking to detox and reenergize, The Morning After Scrub and Wrap is a full-body experience that helps clients feel brand new. Those looking for facial therapies have an assortment of anti-aging facials to choose from, as well as a variety of relaxing massage options.

The full-service restaurant and amenities make Hotel ZaZa a destination not only for those traveling to Austin but also for locals. Make your reservation, and they’ll save you a seat at the bar.
