What started your career path?

I started my blog to document my life in college for my family. After graduating, it evolved into a way to make connections and discover passions, then a way to share newlywed wife, and finally it has turned into a business. It’s something I never really expected because it truly started out as something so small, but it has opened so many doors.

What are you passionate about?

Mentoring and making a difference. Without a doubt, being an influence in people’s lives is something that brings me joy. I can share my truth, good and bad, and be an advocate and source of information and trust for people around me. I am passionate about sharing my real-life experiences and then creating open dialogue with those I meet in real life and online so they don’t feel like they are alone. Whether that be through coaching, sharing my experience with gestational diabetes and PCOS, or talking openly about my size. I want people to know who I am and to be a source of empowerment for them.

Any advice for aspiring bloggers?

It takes time—lots of time. There will be changes in your life that might make you reevaluate the focus of your blog or website. Don’t be afraid to change gears and refocus. That is the cool part about creating your own space. The people that love you and want to be a part of your tribe will follow you through whatever it is—college, marriage, divorce, babies, travel, fashion, etc. Followers will come and go, but your first priority is making sure your space is yours and you are invested in what you’re putting your time into. If it doesn’t feel authentic to you, it won’t feel authentic to your tribe.
