What is something you are passionate about?
Making certain when our children come to school, they feel loved, they feel safe, and they learn at high levels.
How did you find your career path?
I decided to become a teacher when I was in the first grade. After 46 years in public education, I am as excited today as I was on my first day of teaching. There's no better business than kids.
What advice do you have for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in education?
Avoid the status quo. Avoid gossip. Avoid pessimists. Remember the importance of warmth and humor.
What are some of your favorite things about living in Idaho?
I love the values of our great state, the pride and the beauty.
What is something you are proud of?
I am most proud of our four children and our eight grandchildren.

Being part of an extraordinary team of dedicated professionals who refuse to tolerate mediocrity and focus on results through planning, modeling, monitoring, celebrating, and persisting.
