Introducing Accure

Trillium Creek is the Only Dermatology Practice in Ohio that has this New Acne Treatment

Acne affects more than 50 million adolescents and adults annually, making it one of the most commonly treated skin conditions by healthcare providers. That's why Trillium Creek Dermatology is excited to announce that they are now treating patients as young as 15 years old with the new Accure laser for acne.

The Accure Laser System is a safe and effective FDA-approved, energy-based smart device that treats mild to severe acne in patients with results that are lasting at least two years. The Accure laser specifically targets and neutralizes the sebaceous glands (oil glands) that sit beneath the surface of the skin. By targeting or shrinking the sebaceous glands, they are able to decrease the oil production that would subsequently lead to acne formation.

The Accure laser is a great option for those who may have tried and failed other acne treatments such as different lasers, chemical peels, oral medications and/or topical medications. It is safe for all skin types and an excellent option for those not a candidate for isotretinoin, also known by its brand name, Accutane®.

Some of the reasons many patients fail conventional medication treatments are due to:

  • Medications that are not appropriate for all people.
  • Fear of taking medications and their side effects on your body.
  • Time associated with office visits and pre-authorizations through your insurance company.

What to expect:

With the Accure laser, the average patient will typically need three to four treatments that are spaced out about a month apart. A treatment usually lasts 45 minutes. Numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment. There is no downtime or side effects associated with this treatment, and patients can resume normal activity immediately. Current studies have shown that the results are lasting at least two years but may vary by patient.

The Accure treatment normally costs $750 per treatment. For the month of July, Trillium Creek is offering introductory special pricing with 15% off your treatments.
