Investing in Community

What happens when you receive a donation of 2,000 pounds of bulk beef from a local grocery store, but you don’t have the commercial kitchen space, manpower or expertise to break it down and prepare it?  Call in the chefs!  When A & S Culinary Concepts in Johns Creek found out about this dilemma, they volunteered to help ensure local families in need would benefit from this generous donation to North Fulton Community Charities.

A & S Culinary assembled an incredible team of chefs, including the executive chef of Truist Park, the opening executive chef from Georgia Aquarium, the retired executive chef of the Downtown Hilton, the retired executive chef from the JW Marriott Buckhead, the executive pastry chef of Kennesaw State University/Atlanta Marriott Marquis and A & S Culinary Concept’s amazing staff.

Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry stopped by A&S to thank the volunteers who smoked, seared, and prepared some delicious beef stew, brisket, and roast beef to be packaged and delivered to NFCC’s food pantry.

Thank you to the amazing culinary community that came together to help feed people in need.

NFCC Thrift Shop

How can you support projects like this? The Thrift Shop is open to the public to shop at bargain prices six days a week. Inventory changes daily and special sales events and daily specials make shopping fun and affordable!

When you donate to the Thrift Shop your discards get a second life and you help fund the operations and services of NFCC. In addition, families who qualify can participate in the free Family Choice clothing program.

Proceeds from shoppers also provide much of the revenue for NFCC to serve families each year. That revenue helps prevent hunger and homelessness in our community through, food, emergency assistance, and workforce readiness classes.
