Local Leaders on Growth and Giving Back

Lisa Baird Panos

Tell us about your business.  How do you decide where to invest within your own business—whether in new technology, hiring talent, or expansion?

I run a private relationship coaching practice serving individuals and couples who value depth, discretion, and lasting change. Most of my clients are established professionals, entrepreneurs, and couples in long-term relationships who don’t need surface-level advice—they want clarity, steadiness, and a trusted guide to help them navigate complex relational seasons with intention.  My work blends evidence-based relationship science with deep personal insight. At its core, it’s about helping people understand themselves more clearly so they can show up differently in their most important relationships. The work is private, highly personalized, and designed for those who see their relationships as one of the most important investments they’ll ever make.

How does your business connect with or contribute to the Naples community?

Naples values privacy, quality, and meaningful connection—and that’s exactly how I work. Much of what I do happens quietly, behind the scenes, with people who don’t want their personal lives on display.  I also love supporting local businesses, participating in intimate community events, and collaborating with people who care about growth—not just success. When relationships are healthier, families are stronger, and that impacts the entire community in ways you don’t always see—but you definitely feel.

How do you evaluate an investment opportunity—whether it’s in the stock market, real estate, or a local business?

I pay attention to how it feels as much as how it looks. Numbers matter, but so do people, values, and sustainability.  If something feels rushed, overly complicated, or misaligned, I pause. The best investments—financial or personal—don’t pressure you. They make sense calmly.

Many people consider health to be one of the best investments. How do you invest in your physical and mental well-being?

I’m very intentional about how I spend my energy. That means movement I actually enjoy, protecting my sleep, and being selective about what I say yes to.  Mentally, I invest in self-awareness. I practice the same tools I teach my clients—pausing, noticing my reactions, and choosing how I respond. That alone has been one of the most valuable investments of my life.

Tell us about your business.  How do you decide where to invest within your own business—whether in new technology, hiring talent, or expansion?

I am fortunate to work for one of the largest employers in the Naples area, where we deliver independent, actionable, and objective business and technology insights. In my role, I lead a team of Global Executive Community Leaders dedicated to serving senior executives in the world’s largest and most complex organizations. Together as a community, we work to achieve global impact by enabling the world’s most influential business leaders to turn today’s biggest challenges into tomorrow’s best outcomes. The nature of our business provides us with exceptional internal capabilities to identify where, when, and how much to invest, whether it’s in new technology, talent acquisition, or strategic expansion. We rely on data-driven analysis and real-time market insights to guide these decisions, ensuring our investments align with both immediate needs and long-term growth. Artificial intelligence has become a particularly powerful and lucrative element in our investment strategy. It’s unlocking new opportunities across our organization while ensuring that human expertise remains at the core of our decision-making. By keeping humans in the loop, we’re able to harness the full potential of AI to drive innovation, efficiency, and value for our clients and our business.

How does your business connect with or contribute to the Naples community?

My career has inspired and afforded me the opportunity to give back to others. Through mentorship, coaching, and investing in local residents and businesses, I’m able to pay it forward in meaningful ways. Believing in others and helping them tap into their full potential has been a passion of mine for decades. I’m proud to have supported a variety of local ventures, including Sugarshack Media, Sugarshack Downtown, and Old Vines Supper Club. Additionally, I served as Executive Producer for the documentary Harambe. Each of these investments reflects my commitment to fostering creativity, entrepreneurship, and community growth here in Naples. Mentorship and coaching are at the heart of my approach. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing others succeed and knowing you played a part in their journey. I believe that by investing in people and their ideas, we can create a lasting positive impact on our community.

Tell us about your business.  How do you decide where to invest within your own business—whether in new technology, hiring talent, or expansion?

I own Skin Therapy of SWFL, a mobile massage therapy and aesthetics business bringing professional massage and skincare services directly to clients’ homes and businesses. My focus is always on creating a personalized experience—whether it’s relieving tension, addressing skin concerns, or just providing a moment of calm in a busy day. I combine therapeutic knowledge with a hands-on, client-centered approach to make each session both effective and relaxing. I invest where it has the most direct impact on the client experience, whether that’s upgrading equipment or skincare tools to provide better results, or expanding my knowledge through continuing education. Growth is guided by what allows me to serve clients better while staying aligned with my mission to make wellness convenient, high-quality, and luxurious.

How does your business connect with or contribute to the Naples community?

Skin Therapy is proud to bring wellness directly to the Naples community, making self-care accessible and convenient for busy residents. Beyond services, I focus on building genuine relationships with clients—many of whom are neighbors, friends, and local business owners—and creating a supportive, welcoming environment. I also enjoy participating in local events and collaborating with other Naples businesses to promote health, relaxation, and overall well-being throughout the community.

If you could give your younger self one piece of investing advice, what would it be?

Invest in yourself first. Whether it’s education, tools, or experiences that build your skills and confidence, those are the investments that pay the biggest dividends over time. I’ve learned that focusing on growth, knowledge, and quality—rather than chasing quick returns—sets a strong foundation for both personal and business success.

If you had unlimited resources, what would be your dream investment project?

If resources were unlimited, I’d create a wellness hub that combines massage therapy, skincare, and education under one roof, making high-quality, personalized care accessible to everyone. It would be a space where people could relax, learn about self-care, and invest in their health in a supportive, community-focused environment. My goal would be to blend professional expertise with a luxurious, welcoming experience that inspires people to prioritize their well-being.

Tell us about your business.  How do you decide where to invest within your own business—whether in new technology, hiring talent, or expansion?

We are always investing in technology and industry specific data.  Information equals power especially when put in the hands of qualified professional.  The combination of both is always top of mind at TerraCap Management.  Our goal is to continue to raise the bar with our team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our investors and tenants.

How does your business connect with or contribute to the Naples community?

We are continually contributing to charities within our community.  We focus on local and national charities to spread the goodwill.  This is done by both TerraCap and Live Fest LLC which has been my personal give back to the Naples community.  Watching the positive effect Live Fest has had on Naples and the SW Florida music scene here has very rewarding to me personally.

Looking ahead 10 years, how do you hope your investments—whether financial, personal, or community-based—will have shaped your legacy?

I hope to be remembered as someone who delivered on their vision and goals while enhancing the lives of those around me - especially the team members that helped make the dreams come true.

If you could give your younger self one piece of investing advice, what would it be?

Don't sell your businesses too soon!  Take them to their full potential which is always greater than your initial instincts would tell you.

Many people consider health to be one of the best investments. How do you invest in your physical and mental well-being?

I have been focused on physical fitness since I was a teenager and have always made it a key part of my life.  It relieves stress and elongates life and happiness.  Use it or lose it as they say. Cross training, strength training and triathlons have been a long standing part of my routines.

How do you evaluate an investment opportunity—whether it’s in the stock market, real estate, or a local business?

Buy right at the lowest possible basis or entry point price to secure a base line of profit.  Then work on enhancing the investment and the best timing for your exit or realization of the investment.

Tell us about your business.  How do you decide where to invest within your own business—whether in new technology, hiring talent, or expansion?

Azul is a cosmetic surgery and medical spa, as aestheticians we offer cosmetic and medical grade services to enhance natural beauty.

How does your business connect with or contribute to the Naples community?

Azul is a sponsor of multiple charitable organizations and contributes to the local arts and theaters.

If you could give your younger self one piece of investing advice, what would it be?

Start small, start young and increase your investments over time.

How do you evaluate an investment opportunity—whether it’s in the stock market, real estate, or a local business?

Investments are not always for monetary gain.   Investing in relationships whether personal or professional can reap high return financially, emotionally, and mentally.  We invest in our patients' confidence, beauty, and health.

Many people consider health to be one of the best investments. How do you invest in your physical and mental well-being?

It's one of the most important investments we could make.  Physical activity is important for our body, but if you don't invest in your mental health the mind and body will both decline. Be selfish with your time, meditate, and know it's okay to say no.

If you had to choose one area of personal growth to invest in for the next five years, what would it be?

I'd invest in my training and perfecting my aesthetic skills to deliver the highest level of care possible.

Naples has a strong local business community. How do you engage with and give back to this community?

At Azul our heart is in the community we call home.  We pride ourselves in engaging with local businesses and schools, charitable organizations, and building relationships with our patients.

If you had unlimited resources, what would be your dream investment project?

Our dream investment would be a stand alone wellness center providing community education, wellness seminars, and youth self-esteem workshops.

Looking ahead 10 years, how do you hope your investments—whether financial, personal, or community-based—will have shaped your legacy?

We want Azul to be known as a cosmetic practice that cared not only about their patients, but their community.

Tell us about your business.  How do you decide where to invest within your own business—whether in new technology, hiring talent, or expansion?

I approach investing in my own business the same way I advise my clients: with discipline, long-term thinking, and a focus on value.  Decisions around technology, hiring or expansion are guided by one central questions-will this improve the client experience while strengthening the firm for the future? I invest in technology that enhances efficiency, security and transparency and I hire talent that aligns with my commitment to thoughtful, high-touch service.  Growth is always intentional and sustainable, ensuring that quality and personal attention are never compromised.

How does your business connect with or contribute to the Naples community?

I work closely with families, professionals, business owners, and multi-generational households with a focus on legacy planning and I believe strong financial planning goes hand in and with giving back.  Through education, long-term relationships, and community involvement, my goal is to help families preserve, grow, and thoughtfully pass on wealth in a way that strengthens both future generations and the Naples community as a whole.

If you could give your younger self one piece of investing advice, what would it be?

Start early, stay focused, stay disciplined, and don’t let short-term noise distract you from the long-term goals.  Time, consistency, and patience are far more powerful than trying to time the market.

How do you evaluate an investment opportunity—whether it’s in the stock market, real estate, or a local business?

I evaluate every investment opportunity through the same lens-fundamentals, risk, and long-term value.  Whether it’s the stock market, real estate, or a local business, I look for strong underlying economics, alignment with overall goals, and a clear margin of safety rather than short-term upside.
