Investing in People and Properties

Small enough to care, but big enough to serve.

A Mortgage Boutique was founded in 2019 by a team of highly experienced mortgage
professionals who wanted to build a company that focused on employees, clients and the
community.

Indeed, AMB offers mortgage services tailored to client needs, delivered via in-person
experience or a fully online electronic experience! From home financing for first-time
homebuyers to empty nesters looking to downsize, Founder Retta Gardner says, “we’re
big enough to provide all the products and services, competitors, on- and offline can offer,
but small enough to care.”

In terms of size and growth, a Mortgage Boutique was acquired by Murfreesboro-based
First Community Mortgage in February 2021, when both organizations recognized they
were “better together.” Both AMB and FCM hold employees, clients, and the community
as top priorities – one of the factors that have earned it several “best places to work”
awards over the past year-plus.

In fact, FCM – of which AMB is now a division – has its own employee-directed
foundation, FCM Cares, which has donated countless hours and more than $200,000 (in
2021 alone!) to local charities. Community projects are often brought to FCM Cares’
attention by employees or are on the radar due to natural disasters or shared challenges like
the pandemic. There also are ongoing programs, like a scholarship and golf tournament.
With the continued growth of Rutherford, Davidson, Knox, Williamson, and surrounding
counties, First Community Mortgage and a Mortgage Boutique have experienced,
enthusiastic local experts ready to assist you with your home financing needs. This
includes an award-winning multicultural lending team.

“Our mission is to help more and more people secure their piece of the American
Dream,” Gardner says, “and we can now do that across at least 44 states, but without ever
losing focus on people and the communities we serve – because they are where we live
and work too.”
