There’s a saying, “It’s not the years in your life that matter, but rather the life in your years.” But these days the focus is on longevity—not just living longer, but improving your quality of life and ability to physically do what you love, and to do it pain-free.
Molly Nestor is the Co-Owner of The Exercise Coach Summerlin North (exercisecoach.com/summerlin-north), a fitness studio located in Rampart Plaza at Del Webb and Rampart. She and her husband Brent opened the Las Vegas studio in 2023. They have a niche when it comes to their clients.
“People over 45 who are achy when they get out of bed and don’t want to go to a traditional gym. Everything we do is coach-led with specialized smart equipment (Exerbotics) to get the best results,” says Molly. “We also cater to the busy professional who does not have an hour to spend in the gym every day. Our specialized equipment maximizes every second of the workout through precise, slow, and controlled strength training.”
“There’s definitely a science behind it,” explains Molly. “The founder of TEC has spent over 20 years studying the benefits of isokinetic movements done twice a week at the right intensity for most clients. Two 20-minute sessions a week prove to be ideal training for most clients.”
“Talk about investing in yourself. To be able to turn your life around in two months after not investing in it for years is incredible,” says Molly. And she has seen the proof in her clients, such as a woman who bowls graduating from an 8-pound to a 12-pound ball, and many golfer clients who say they have longer drives because of strength training.
“Think about goals such as lifting your grandchildren, getting on the floor and playing with them, and being able to get back up off the floor,” says Molly. “No amount of income can compare to more time with your family, extending your life, and flexibility. It’s a priceless investment.”
Enhancing longevity and quality of life isn't limited to fitness; those dealing with chronic pain can also find local solutions to improve their well-being.
“Now is the time that people want to live longer, so you can see future generations in your family grow up,” says Michael Fluhr, Director of Operations for Neuropathy and Pain Centers of Las Vegas (nvpainrelief.com). “You must take back your health, and we can help you.”
Neuropathy is a condition in which your peripheral nerves (the nerves in your arms and legs) aren’t working properly, causing chronic pain, numbness, tingling, or all three.
Around 21 million people in the United States have peripheral neuropathy. The leading cause of this problem is diabetes, where high blood sugar levels cause damage to blood vessel walls, and the meningeal layers of nerves, leading to severe symptomatology at the arms and legs.
“We can reverse the neuropathy by treating the root of the problem,” explains Michael. “Dr. Robert Odell, is a Stanford-trained M.D. and Ph.D., and is a neuropathy protocol pioneer who helped co-develop the RST-Sanexas neoGEN® device machine which stimulates vascular flow, feeds nerves, and regrows them.”
The device uses painless, noninvasive cell signaling technology to relieve pain. Cell signaling encourages healing in damaged cells by vibrating them at resonant frequencies, which the cells like using certain types of electronic cell signaling waves. After repeated treatments over several weeks, coupled with subtle lifestyle changes, even patients who’ve endured neuropathy for 10 years or more have felt significant improvement. Many patients stop using their walking aids, become more active, and no longer need pain medications after treatment. They also sleep better and find other problems like balance issues disappear.
Neuropathy and Pain Centers of Las Vegas is ready to help, as Michael says, “We have 12 Sanexas machines in the clinic that are lined up and ready to help suffering patients who want lasting relief.”
