It’s a New Day
It’s a new day at the Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce! There is a new level of excitement and energy in the air that is contagious. This is a pivotal moment in the chamber’s history and a phenomenal time for businesses and community leaders to be part of the Windsor Chamber family. They are honored to have more than 425 business partners in the region who they represent as the voice of business.

Thankful
Windsor is the fastest-growing city in the state of Colorado according to the US Census Bureau in 2024. As a boomtown, we have seen rapid business and population growth in recent years. The Windsor Chamber is stepping up their game as Windsor grows. The people who make up the Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center are very thankful to be at the forefront of all the action to move our community forward.
The Team
Dennis Houston, the new CEO since earlier this spring, is in his 17th year as a chamber of commerce leader. He led the Norfolk Nebraska Chamber as the National Chamber of Commerce of the Year and the award-winning Parker Colorado Chamber prior to his arrival in Windsor. Dennis was also an entrepreneur for 13 years with his own marketing and public relations firm where he led a team of thirteen creatives. He and his family call Windsor their new hometown. Arnold Jakobsen, the new Director of Business Partnerships since this summer, has been an active member of the Windsor Chamber Ambassador program. He is also a successful entrepreneur with an expertise in marketing. Arnold has an energy level that allows his passion for business to shine through as he loves to help entrepreneurs win.
The Board of Directors
The Windsor Chamber is led by an 11-member board of directors made up of business, education, and community leaders. Troy Baldwin, the 2024 Board President, shared, “Our entire board and our business partners are energized at the direction we are headed to truly impact our community and give our business partners a competitive edge."
A Roadmap to the Future
The chamber board of directors and team went through a strategic planning process earlier this summer to build their “roadmap to the future." They are excited for great days ahead as they prepare to take the chamber to the next level.
Their Plan for Success
This Chamber’s strategic plan is a roadmap that focuses on four key initiatives:
- Impacting our community
- Advocating for pro-business and economic development issues
- Providing a competitive edge for our business community
- Creating a strong local economy
The Windsor Chamber will lead and collaborate with their partners on many important issues that impact our community.
- Workforce shortage
- Education partnerships and career and tech education
- Attainable workforce housing options
- Lead a community visioning session
- Foster a small hometown feel in Windsor
- Develop infrastructure and transportation solutions
The chamber is going to strategically create, plan, and successfully execute a family of programs and events to give local businesses a competitive advantage to succeed. It is what they want as an organization. It is what they believe that their business partners deserve.
