Music will fill the air while fans pack the streets in Downtown Alpharetta on October 13 and 14. This FREE music festival highlights the talent and musicianship of the songwriters who are the original artists on some of your favorite songs. In addition to headliners Marc Broussard on Friday evening and SUSTO on Saturday evening, more than 30 artists will perform across six stages. For the second year, Avalon will host a kick-off to Wire & Wood on the Plaza on Thursday, October 12.
Marc Broussard brings the spirit of classic R&B, rock and soul into contemporary terms. As the son of the Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist of “The Boogie Kings,” Marc’s love and talent for music have been nurtured from an early age. Without a doubt, you will groove to the beat when Marc takes the stage!
SUSTO, an indie rock band from Charleston, has performed at other well-known music festivals such as Hangout, Stagecoach and Austin City Limits, giving them the experience of commanding a stage and wowing the crowd! In addition to two thrilling headliners, this free two-day festival features more than 30 performances across six outdoor stages throughout downtown Alpharetta, representing a variety of genres, from Americana and indie to southern rock, pop, country and more.
Alpharetta’s Wire & Wood music festival brings together nationally and locally recognized musicians to perform and tell the stories that inspired their songs. The festival showcases local and regional performers that write and perform their own original work, raises awareness about the importance of music, and highlights the many facets of the music community.
