High school athletes look ahead to college

Rose Coluzzi- Lacrosse at Winthrop University

Rose Coluzzi is a scholar-athlete, having earned varsity letters since her freshman year and has accumulated a total of 125 career points.  Recognized as a Georgia Certificate of Merit Scholar ranking within the top 10 percent of her class. Coluzzi is set to graduate summa cum laude and intends to pursue a double major in biology and Spanish while following a pre-med track.

Brooke Denny- Lacrosse at the University of Alabama in Huntsville

Brooke Denny is committed as a lacrosse goalie to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She has played lacrosse for 8 years and has been a goalie for 7 years. Her time playing has been accompanied by many awards and highlights such as first-team All-State in her sophomore year. Outside of lacrosse, she is well known for her love of baking. It is her favorite way to destress after a grueling day. She cannot wait to continue her academic career as she plans to major in engineering, and an athletic career as a UAH Charger in the years to come.

Nora Donaldson – Soccer at Georgia State University

Nora Donaldson – Soccer at Georgia State University Nora Donaldson is a scholar athlete whose list of accomplishments includes:   Horizon Award, Coaches Award, two-time 6A Region 7 -2nd Team All-Region, Varsity starter freshman-junior year, Honor Student, Captain, ECNL and GAL Southeast Champion, World Futsal Championship finalist, Athlete Leadership Council, National Society of High School Scholars, Member of NFU, and graduating a semester early to attend GSU in January 2025. Nora said she likes to unwind by hanging out with friends, listening to music, watching Netflix, baking, and drawing.

Brooke Murphy – Swimming at the University of Miami

Brooke Murphy is an accomplished scholar-athlete excelling in swimming.  In 2023 she became a Georgia Swimming State Champion in the 200 Free and made Futures cuts in 2023 and 2024. She is ranked 8th in Georgia girls swimming Class of 2025.  At the high school level, she has achieved podium finishes at the State Championships in the 100 Fly and 200 Free establishing two new school records in these events and has earned the title of MVP three times.   To prepare for swim meets Brooke stretches, listens to music, and warms up in the pool with teammates.  After a meet, Brooke swims a cool down and heads out for a healthy meal!  

Maddie Tredway- Lacrosse at Lindenwood University

Maddie Tredway is a scholar-athlete who is a four-year varsity starter in lacrosse where she plays middie and takes the draw with over 300 self-control draw wins and more than 600 career draw controls, earning recognition as a two-time Offensive MVP and receiving ALL-STATE and ALL-AREA honors.  Tredway is also the QB for the Flag Football team, where she has been awarded MVP, the Coaches Award, Offensive Varsity Player of the Year, and was named ALL-AREA HONORABLE MENTION Quarterback.

Maddie likes to unwind by listening to music before games and practices.  Afterward, you can find her eating pasta or grabbing a Starbucks from her favorite store on Haynes Bridge Road.

Outside of lacrosse, she is well known for her love of baking.
