Josh.ai Launches AI X OS, Pushing Smart Homes Toward Proactive Automation
At CEDIA Expo 2025, Josh.ai introduced AI X OS, the latest iteration of its automation platform
that integrates artificial intelligence across its ecosystem for unified control via touch, voice, and
text.
The update brings redesigned interfaces for the Josh App, Josh Touchscreen, and AVA Remote,
alongside several standout features. The new Lighting Intelligence Controller enables dynamic
lighting effects, circadian light matching, and contextual grouping, while AI Scenes proactively
suggests automations like “Good Morning” or “Relax” based on user routines.
Other highlights include Advanced AV Distribution 2.0 for low-latency, high-fidelity media,
Camera Capture for security event review, and CustomDash, allowing users to personalize
dashboards. JoshGPT 3.0 also advances natural-language assistance, while new sales tools in the
Josh Portal aim to streamline integrator workflows.
Alongside the OS, Josh.ai debuted a 10-inch touchscreen for room-specific dashboards and the
customizable Josh Edge remote, designed for flexible control of devices, scenes, and media. A
resale agreement with IC Realtime adds cameras and NVRs to the Josh.ai store starting October
1, 2025.
With AI-driven proactive automations at its core, Josh.ai positions AI X OS as a major step
toward the intuitive, intelligent smart home long promised by the industry.
