Where the vibrant, sun-kissed flavors of Peru meet the quiet precision of Japanese culinary tradition, you will find Killa Nikkei. Situated in Salt Lake City, this dining destination offers far more than a meal—it presents an intentional culinary ritual inspired by centuries of cultural exchange.

The term Nikkei refers to the harmonious blending of Peruvian ingredients, like fiery ají peppers, Andean potatoes, and bright citrus, with refined Japanese techniques, delicate knife work, and fresh seafood. At Killa, this tradition comes alive under a philosophy captured by their motto: “A Flavor Ritual Made Under the Moon.” The restaurant’s elevated interior blends raw stone textures with warm, ambient lighting, creating an atmosphere designed for slow, intentional dining where guests are encouraged to savor every single note.

This fall, Killa Nikkei is taking its commitment to local gastronomy a step further as an official sponsor of Millcreek City Lifestyle’s inaugural Sip & Savor campaign.

As a proud sponsor and dine-around participant throughout September and October, Killa Nikkei is opening its doors to showcase four of its most iconic signature creations:

  • Ceviche Killa: A bold, fresh take on raw seafood featuring tuna, cucumber, and daikon tossed in a vibrant blend of ají limo, kimchi, gochujang, and tamarind.

  • Crab Causa: A stunning reimagining of an Andean classic made with black potato mousse, cherry tomatoes, avocado mousse, creamy huancaina, and orange tobiko.

  • Acevichado Roll: A showstopping sushi roll crafted with furai shrimp, creamy avocado, topped with delicate white catch, signature acevichada sauce, and crispy yams.

  • Pisco Sour: The classic national cocktail of Peru, expertly shaken to deliver a silky, citrus-forward balance that pairs seamlessly with Nikkei flavors.

Beyond the multi-week dine-around, guests will also have the opportunity to experience Killa's extraordinary artistry firsthand at the grand culinary festival hosted at Log Haven on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Whether you are a longtime lover of Peruvian-Japanese fusion or taking your very first bite, Killa Nikkei invites you to slow down, taste with purpose, and celebrate the rich culinary tapestry of our region.
