The Thousand Oaks Kiwanis Club’s 10th annual Brewfest returns this month on August 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Conejo Creek North Park, located at 1379 Janss Road in Thousand Oaks. For the price of admission, guests receive unlimited tastings offered by some of the county’s finest breweries and food establishments, plus live music, great auction items and more.
Come join in the fun as 30+ vendors present tastings of their beer, wine, spirits and food, while the band Ignition entertains with live tunes. Vote for your favorite beer, wine or food vendor in the annual “People’s Choice Award.”
Event proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club’s efforts to support more than 20 local children’s charities in the community, including Bikes for Youth and Relay for Life.
The Bikes for Youth program works with Safe Passage Youth Foundation and Conejo Recreation and Park District’s Teen Center to identify teens facing life challenges, ranging from financial and food insecurity to illness and lack of transportation to provide bikes and safety equipment (helmets and locks) to enable youths to travel to and from school activities and part-time jobs. Relay for Life is a fundraising event of the American Cancer Society, Cancer Survivor Luncheon.
