Libby Follis

Women of Distinction Profile

Libby Follis likes to hit the ground running each morning. In addition to co-owning a business and being a top producing real estate agent, she is also an avid volunteer. However, she knows she can’t do it all alone.

“I love the synergy in working with a partner, whether it’s design, in real estate, or volunteerism,” she says. “I feel energy, creativity and passion when I’m working with another person. I’m not a loner.”

Her partner in her interior design business, Gifted Interiors, is Drew Ebbing; with Higbie Maxon Agney Realtors, it’s Dennis Andrus; and for volunteering, it’s her family. “I get tremendous support from my family. They are my biggest cheerleaders.”

Her family’s passion is raising money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York through a unique and fun fundraising vehicle called Cycle for Survival. “We get on bikes in Equinox Gyms and ride with teams of people to support rare cancer research,” says Libby. “Our family has been affected by a couple of rare cancers and Memorial Sloan Kettering has worked miracles. Our family is healthy because of them.”

Her advice for other busy women and for those looking to fulfill their dreams: “Find something you love and have enthusiasm and passion for what you do. Have a vision and excitement for that vision.”
