Adam Hissin gets this. His father was in the automobile industry and as owner of International Motor Group in Middlesex, he treats customers—and their cars—like one of the family.
“We are a white-glove concierge service for all our clients’ automotive needs—a one-stop-shop from sales to service and detailing to storage and transport,” he says.
His favorite part of this business he founded in 2012 is the long-term relationships he has built with his customers. “In every service we provide, we take care of all the details, educate clients, keep them informed and help them save money,” he says.
IMG has been creating a buzz for its specialization in foreign exotic cars. Perhaps you may have marveled at their exotics—Lamborghinis, Maseratis, oh my!—being displayed at restaurant events, sports games or classic car nights. “Although we are more of a boutique dealer, specializing in higher-end vehicles, we detail and service any make and model of automobile,” he says. “And if you are looking to purchase a classic car or a more daily-drive type of vehicle, we can help there, too.”
IMG offers different detailing tiers to suit customers’ needs and budgets. “For example, a customer with a Honda Accord could have different detailing needs and price points than a customer with a Ferrari,” he says.
A high priority is educating clients. “I always want to educate our customers by showing them first-hand or sending them a photo of what is at issue with their vehicle,” he says. “I want people to understand their vehicles more so that they know why a part is making a noise or has worn down prematurely.”
IMG provides professional automobile storage in an indoor, heated, climate-controlled, secure facility equipped with a 25-camera alarm system. Each stored automobile is given a trickle charger to prevent batteries from draining.
Have a winter home in Florida or want your car on an extended trip across the country? IMG manages transport of vehicles in the continental United States, from door to door. “Many of our clients are snowbirds who live in New Jersey or New York and have winter homes in Florida,” Hissin says. “We facilitate every aspect of the vehicle transport: We obtain the transportation carrier, make sure the car is picked up and delivered on schedule, stay in communication with the driver and keep the client informed of transit status,” he says.
