There’s a moment in every life when the question comes knocking: “What’s it all for?”
For Jesse Hardy, that moment didn’t come on a battlefield or in a boardroom, but somewhere in between. After 30 years of leading people, he realized success wasn’t about climbing ladders or collecting titles. It was about alignment: living each day with purpose, principles, and peace.
“I spent three decades chasing this fallen world’s version of success,” Hardy says, “and the past three years in recovery from it.”
Today, Hardy is the founder of Purpose & Principle-Driven, a faith-based executive and life-coaching practice serving Dripping Springs and beyond. His work is unique because he only accepts pay about 20 hours a week, giving away the other 20 to 30 hours.
Inspired by Blake Mycoskie of TOMS® Shoes, Hardy built his practice on a radical premise: for every paid hour, give one away. Half of his time and profits support international mission work and pro bono coaching.
Four to six weeks per year, you’ll likely find Hardy serving in Nicaragua, Honduras, or Belarus. But most of his volunteer work happens locally, where he provides life coaching for veterans, first responders, and pastors. In his spare time, he's also a men’s pastor at Real Life Church.
Hardy explains, “I help people wrestle with the same age-old questions: Who am I? Why am I here? And what does God’s love demand of me right now?”
Hardy’s leadership roots run deep. A U.S. Marine Corps infantry veteran, he’s served as chief safety and training officer, executive vice president, and director of leadership and organizational development across construction, oil and gas, education, and energy sectors. His teams have built pipelines and facilities across the country; more importantly, they’ve built cultures where people matter and values drive performance.
Now, Hardy blends corporate and military experience with master’s and doctoral work in clinical mental health and trauma-informed care. Currently, he’s looking forward to completing his internship to become a licensed professional counselor. The result is coaching that is equal parts practical and pastoral, strategic and spiritual.
Hardy’s P2-Driven Framework distills decades of experience into three clear steps:
- Understand and accept your current reality
- Align with God
- Live your legacy today
No jargon. No corporate fluff. Just a Christ-centered blueprint to help leaders make decisions that matter and live with integrity.
Clients describe Hardy’s style as a mix of old-school discipline and pastoral compassion. Whether helping an executive rediscover balance or guiding a veteran through post-service identity, it all starts with the same premise: You were made on purpose, for a purpose.
Hardy doesn’t shy away from his faith. He believes God’s word offers a timeless roadmap for modern leadership: to see with God’s eyes, hear with His ears, and love with His heart. In a world distracted by noise and driven by metrics, he invites people to slow down, tune in, and remember who they’re ultimately working for.
“My clients aren’t just trying to make a living,” he says. “They’re trying to make a difference.”
That conviction has earned Hardy a reputation as a guide who brings both competence and time-tested principles, helping others choose purpose over regret.
When Hardy isn’t coaching or somewhere overseas, you’ll find him in Dripping Springs, working the soil of his faith and his flower beds. He lives with his wife, Heidi, and together they have three daughters and one lively 3-year-old grandson named Billy-Frank.
In an age obsessed with hustle, Hardy offers a life led by purpose, principles, and peace—and the promise that meaning isn’t something you find at the end of the race, but something you live every day along the way.
