It’s been a long, hard road building Second Chance Auto Glass into a successful business, but for its owner, it was worth it.

Brady Chance Visker grew up in Lehi, watching his business-owner dad help people, and his mechanic grandpa working on cars. He decided early on he wanted both—to help people, as a mechanic. He even had a name picked out: Second Chance Auto, a nod to his middle name, Chance.

He started young, apprenticing with the family mechanic in his teens and earning an automotive degree from UVU. Brady worked in local shops, but didn’t find the environment he’d envisioned. It was time to set out on his own.

His first business location was a tent and table in Kohler's (now Pioneer Market) parking lot, repairing rock chips. That tent became a mobile business. Then he bought a trailer. Finally, he wanted to expand to windshields in his own shop.

Determined to do things right, Brady spent a month in Seattle training with a mentor, working 20-hour days to learn windshield replacement. It was grueling, but he came home to his patient wife and children with the knowledge he needed to expand.

When he found a workable space in Lehi, it was in rough shape, with little to no maintenance done for decades. Six months, countless dumpsters, and one new roof later, Second Chance Auto Glass opened its doors.

Today, Brady runs his business as he always dreamed: helping people with his valuable skills. He has no interest in being the next Safelite; he wants to stay local, serving the community that’s supported him from the beginning.

Brady admits he’s a perfectionist, but it’s a matter of safety. He could turn a quicker profit if he used assembly-style repairs, but he prefers taking his time to get a secure, solid bond. “Windshields aren’t just glass—they’re structural. Cutting corners can literally kill you, so it’s not something I take lightly.” If a windshield was installed badly and the airbags deployed in an accident, the windshield would pop out when the bags hit them, and it would be as if you had no airbags at all.

Second Chance Auto Glass now offers complete auto glass repair, including window regulators, wipers, and switches, using advanced calibration equipment to keep modern safety features working properly. Through all the hard work and his family’s sacrifices, Brady has stayed true to his mission: to help people, to do good work, and to serve the community in his hometown.
