Since moving from Montana to the Treasure Valley in 2013, I have been on a continuous hunt to find new food spots that set themselves out from the rest.
I recently decided to take my love for food to Instagram and began food blogging to shine light on locally owned small businesses that I love to support. From the hole in the wall joint you never knew existed, to family operated food trucks, and even the popular places we all know. My goal is to provide a platform for followers to locate great food spots and encourage them to support locally owned small businesses we have here in The Treasure Valley.
Fly World Class Wings (@flyfoodtruck) - This married couple is whipping up the best buffalo wings you will find in Treasure Valley. 20 different flavors between sauces & dry rub include favorites like Tongue Thaied, Orange Bubbanero, and Dirty South. Classic or Boneless & Fried or Grilled.
Big Fry (@bigfry208) - Two brothers crafting up loaded fries from locally sourced Idaho potatoes. Fries are freshly cut to order and loaded up with ridiculously good toppings. Omelet Fries & Chicken Bacon Ranch are couple of my favorites.
Wok N Roll (@woknroll.boise) - Modern Asian eats & fusion recipes unlike anything else you’ve tried. The Phaco - Pho Taco is a signature dish and its out of this world delicious. Other must tries include Pork Belly Tacos, Sriracha Chicken Rolls, and Pad Thai.
Tangos (@tangos_empanadas) - A taste of Argentina right here in Boise. Hands down one of my favorite places to eat. Freshly fried empanadas stuffed with goodness and made with love. 50 different fillings including my top three favorites, Jugosa, Pork, and Chili.
Bite Me (@bitemebars) - Ice cream bars, sweet frozen bananas, and homemade Rice Krispy treats dipped in crunchy chocolate coating with customizable toppings or popular menu choices like The Dark Side (Oreo) or Campfire (S’mores). The Bananrama is one of a kind, banana pudding & Nilla wafers on top of chocolate dipped vanilla ice cream bar.
Marsh Cakes (@gregmarshcakes) - Custom cake designer turned artisan cookie connoisseur with new flavors rotated in weekly. Some highlights include Lemon Blueberry, Orange Creamsicle, and German Chocolate.
La Crepe Boise (@lacrepeboise) - Family operated mobile creperie serving freshly made sweet & savory crepes. I recommend Savory - Breakfast Crepe and Sweet - Raspberry Crepe. Literally every time I eat here customers come back to the window just to tell the cook how great the food is.
Off The Grid-L (@offthegridlboise) - The best burgers & BLT you will find around town are hand crafted in this family run food truck. Classic American food in hefty portions made with quality ingredients. The chicken strips are one of kind.
