Since 2014, Michael Bishop, owner of Bishop Construction Services, has been providing premier interior home renovations to those discerning and fortunate enough to hire him. A local Venice building and contracting blue blood, Michael inherited his craftsmanship in part from his grandfather, who began building in the region more than 70 years ago, putting up iconic homes on the waterfront from Sarasota to Boca Grande. Michael’s father, a general contractor, also taught him to cherish and pursue the family tradition of building excellence.
“I was digging footers for my father since I was a little kid,” Michael explains. “And I always knew I would eventually start my own company. Bishop Construction Services specializes in interior home renovations. We love working on homes that are from the 50’s onward that have never had a facelift. When someone buys a home here and wants to make it beautiful, we work closely with them through every facet of the project.”
With the love of his life Felicia, Michael is a proud father to a year-old son, Banyan. The couple named their son so that Banyan would know that he comes from strong roots. Michael takes extreme pride in the work that he does and anyone who hires Bishop Construction Services will get to know Michael’s experienced and excellent team.

The most satisfying aspect of Michael's work is the look on his clients’ faces when they see the finished product.
“It’s always a great day at the end of a project when we see how pleased our clients are,” Michael says. “We care about our clients’ homes as much as they do. We think of them as family and know just how important it is that we do great work for them.”
