With More Than 70 Species of Fish to Catch, Florida Waters Always Offer Fishing Excitement

"Fishing's an outdoor activity you can do with the whole family—nieces, nephews, grandparents, everyone," Chris Tritschler says. "I love fishing with my kids. And maybe one day when I am old, my kids will take me fishing, too."

Chris enjoys fishing fresh and saltwater and using lures. Some of his favorites lures are produced by companies like Rapala, Yo-Zuri, D.O.A. and Bomber.

"My favorite place to fish is the closest place you can get to that's got fish," he says. "It's important to figure out what the fish are eating and match your lure to that. The greatest thing about fishing in Florida is you never know what you are going to catch. Every outing's exciting."

Broker-owner of Nokomis's Effort Realty and gun safety instructor at Total Impact, Chris has two sons and two grandchildren. He's married to Joyce McCaffrey, owner of Venice's Eyes On You.
