Local Flavors

Indulge Your Palate at the 2024 Taste of East Cobb

Tasters of all ages are invited to embark on a culinary adventure at East Cobb's premier outdoor food festival, Taste of East Cobb, on Saturday, May 4.

East Cobb residents or anyone craving local flavors should plan to stop by Johnson Ferry Baptist Church anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to indulge. The growing festival expects around 25 restaurants and bakeries for its 16th year, from the likes of Camps Kitchen and Bar, Green Coyote, Seed, Flying Biscuit, Sterling Estates, Belen de la Cruz-Empanadas & Pastries, Smallcakes, Cafe Rivkah, Righteous 'Que and the new Press Waffle Co.

Admission is free—just bring your appetite and "taste tickets," which will get you access to menu items, cotton candy, drinks and other activities. Tickets can be purchased with cash or card, online or on the day of the event.

While the mouth-watering bites are the best part, the fun doesn't stop there. Attendees can browse local vendors, enjoy live music by the Walton High School jazz band and many other East Cobb schools, and visit the Kids' Zone for inflatables and hands-on activities. Other festivities include a silent auction and a "Best of Taste of East Cobb" voting competition.

"The Taste of East Cobb is so much more than a food festival; it’s a chance for East Cobbers to celebrate the community we value and love dearly," says coordinator J.J. McKelvey.

This fare-filled day provides an opportunity to gather with family, friends and neighbors, savor delicious cuisine and enjoy live entertainment while supporting East Cobb's restaurateurs and students. Organized by the Walton Band Parents Association, a 501(c)(3) that supports the Walton Band Program, all Taste of East Cobb proceeds benefit the award-winning Walton High School band program.

“We love our vibrant East Cobb community, and the Taste of East Cobb is the perfect way to celebrate and support our favorite local restaurants and businesses. What started as a simple fundraiser has now turned into one of the largest community events in East Cobb. Join us for MUSIC, FOOD, and FUN on May 4, 2024,” says J. J. McKelvey, 2024 Event Co-Chair.
