Philip and Gina Whitley moved to the small historic town of Montgomery, Texas, 29 years ago; where they raised four children and now have eight grandchildren.
Completing her degree at Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston, Gina specialized in wine and spirits management. She decided to combine her passion for wine and her experience in quality management and production to venture into the wonderful wine industry. This journey began with a vision and a 1/3-acre vineyard in her backyard. Janice Parish started working at Brownlee Jewelers in 1981 while attending Conroe High School. She attended the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) jewelry repair school, where she studied hands-on jewelry repair, stone setting, and advanced stone setting and continued to earn her Graduate Gemologist degree. In 1989 after Mr. "Pinky" Brownlee passed away, she became the sole proprietor as a gift from Mr. Brownlee.
