Luxe Travel

Learn about how Nadia Forte Travel & Events makes planning luxurious travel easy & efficient, as well as her tips on safe travel in 2021.

Nadia Forte dreamed about travel since she was a young girl growing up in Barbados. She kept up with the latest travel destinations and eventually moved to the United States, where she received a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Temple University. Forte went on to work with luxury hotels and corporate travel for destinations all over the world. After deciding that she needed a change of pace, she opened Nadia Forte Travel & Events specializing in leisure, corporate group travel, and destination events.

Since opening her business in Houston, Forte has partnered with Protravel International – an elite invitation-only network of the world’s top 1 % of travel providers. This affiliation allows Forte to have direct access to an expanded network of luxury travel experiences including cruises, spas, and destination specialists. “It also allows me to obtain preferential rates for my clients, guaranteed special added amenities, insider access, and exclusive services.”

According to Forte, there are several reasons why using a travel service is beneficial. “Instead of spending countless hours of research online, working with an expert saves you time, eliminates any stress, and ensures that all the details are handled.”

Dedicated support for those mishaps that are bound to occur while traveling is also a perk that clients enjoy. Working with a travel expert also ensures that travelers will have uniquely crafted itineraries and exclusive access to luxury experiences. “From yacht and jet charters, private villas or private island stays, custom culinary experiences, venue takeovers, and everything in between – I handle it all.”

Forte understands that many are reluctant to travel right now but urges patience and forward-thinking for planning travel in the months ahead. “Following 9/11, we adapted to the new safety procedures and rules. We have seen the same since the onset of the pandemic. The entire industry has been doing a wonderful job at implementing new policies and procedures to reduce the risk and to help protect travelers and guests.”

Forte shares her three top tips for traveling safely in 2021.

Follow safety guidelines and protocols for destinations, hotels, and any tour operators. Be prepared with proof of your negative tests, complete any additional forms before air travel and arrival at the destination, and factor in extra vacation time if the country requires you to quarantine.

Work with companies that offer flexible booking policies where you can easily make changes to your reservations if needed without accumulating any fees and strongly consider purchasing travel insurance.

Plan ahead. There is a lot of pent-up demand for travel since people have been stuck at home for most of 2020. The key is to plan but remain flexible. The world is re-opening and as more destinations do so, we expect a boom.
