The owners of Tradition Outdoor Living believe in building creative outdoor spaces that improve the lives of Texans. At the heart of their work is quality craftsmanship and service. The company, which has been in business since 2014, works alongside homeowners to design and build upscale outdoor spaces such as kitchens, elegant patios, fireplaces, pool cabanas and gazebos.

“We believe in quality and doing what we say,” says Ryan Yokubaitis, one of the company owners. “Being able to provide that to people seems to be harder and harder these days.”

The company's team of six comes with years of experience in a variety of professional backgrounds including engineering, construction, athletics, technology and theology. Ryan has a theology master's degree but enjoys working with his hands and being outdoors.

This year, Ryan worked with Cinco Ranch homeowners to design and build a lavish outdoor entertainment space complete with an eye-catching kitchen, custom fireplace, decorative Canadian pine wood paneling and enough room for a dozen visitors.

The design boasts an outdoor kitchen and bar with extensive cream stone bench seating for multiple guests. A compact fridge located beneath the bar’s granite countertops provides easy access to beverages. A stainless-steel sink offers both hot and cold water, and a 36-inch American Outdoor Grill nearby a mounted flat-screen TV allows the host to entertain while still keeping a watchful eye on the cooking.

Ryan says the space allows visitors and residents “more than just one destination.” People can sit at the table and share a meal, lounge near the pool or cozy up next to the gas-burning fireplace. The fireplace is accented with Braeburn chopped stones in off-white, tan and chocolate tones. The earthy design complements the creamy Travertine tile floors which are elegantly arranged into a Versailles pattern. The ceiling shows off a solid Texas cedar wooden truss giving the entire space a stately yet natural appearance.

Making the project look and feel original to the house, is one of Tradition Outdoor Living's priorities, Ryan says. The project starts with an in-home design consultation where the company and customer work together to establish a vision for the living space. Next, the company uses design software to virtually build out the space and provide a quote. Finally, if the owner approves, the company will schedule and complete construction while also handling any government or residential permitting needs.

What Ryan enjoys the most, however, is getting to see the final project come together for everyone's enjoyment.

“It’s fun to make people’s vision come to life,” Ryan says.
