Made in Roswell, for Roswell

Two foodie entrepreneurs have our backs this month!

For the most flavorful and delicious Thanksgiving, this month we give thanks for two local foodie entrepreneurs.

Let A Peach of a Party be your wingman this holiday season. Need sides? A Peach of a Party has got you covered. Cat Plant and her team will be peeling, chopping, roasting and adding the yum to side dishes including sweet potato soufflé, balsamic roasted carrots & parsnips, green bean casserole. They'll be baking biscuits and sweets like chocolate pecan pie, pumpkin pie, carrot cake, and bite-size desserts; and breakfast dishes like sausage & egg casserole, ham & Swiss breakfast bake, and creme brûlée french toast casserole. Yes, please! Preorders are November 2-18 with grab and go available in the store the week of Thanksgiving. “Our goal is to offer deliciously consistent, quality foods you'll be happy to serve to your family and guests. There are plenty of places where you can find dishes featuring the newest and trendiest techniques and ingredients,” says Cat Plant, owner. “We want the casserole you bring home tonight to taste just the way you remember it from years ago – comfort food is our specialty.” She and her husband Dave will be enjoying Thanksgiving with their kids and Dave’s British parents. “My mother-in-law is a really wonderful cook, so we’re always happy to let her take the lead on cooking so we can get a break, though I’m in charge of the pumpkin pie ever since that year she forgot the eggs!”

Scott and Heather Harlow are Roswell people. They love their town, community and all things Roswell. They love food and BIG flavors, so they created the Peri-Peri Supply Company.

You can find their sauces at all our town’s favorite foodie destinations. Peri-Peri Supply Co. is a vendor at Alive in Roswell and sells their sauce, peri-peri chicken sandwiches and peri-peri tacos at the Alpharetta Farmers Market every Saturday.

“The sauces appeal to those who love to be on trend with food and want new, exciting food on their menus and at their tables,” says Heather. “Peri-peri chicken is THE new exciting menu item all over the world.”

The peri-peri pepper grows wild in South Africa, and is also known as the African bird's eye chili. Imported from Malawi, it is the signature ingredient in all seven of the purveyor’s flavors, ranging from very, very mild to very, very hot.

“The peri-peri pepper has an intense flavor. It is more than just ‘hot.’ Then, we layer the cooking process for a beautifully flavorful sauce with heat,” says Heather. “Our family of sauces use fresh garlic, onions, the whole lemon, herbs and spices and three peppers, of course, the peri-peri pepper.”

Per-Peri has recently been picked up by Delta Sky Clubs, KeHE distributors, many restaurants around the country, and recently, their first international restaurant account in Dubai!

The sauces are vegan; keto-friendly; sugar free; fresh, not from concentrate; made locally and woman-owned.
